Hi ken

a better analogy would be having a car which can do more than 70 mph, doesn't mean the
owner is running flat out at 100 mph every where they go. They drive to the conditions same
as an amp!!

How do you see this getting policed Ken?

its 400w at antenna not the amp!

Its also quite legal to run 1kw in the UK. I know 2 callsigns who can do this quite legally on
6m!

would it not be better to Lobby OFCOM to grant high power contest licenses like their Belgian
counterparts did, highly successfully, with not one complaint of interference.

Contest stations by there very nature are on the whole better RF engineered than the
average station.

lets push for a 2kw+ high power level for short contest calls!

That way we are all be up front and honest and can at least compete on a level playing field
with the rest of the world!
