[UK-CONTEST] Power Limitations(ONLY WITHIN CONTEST SECTIONS)

Trying to create categories based on ERP is absurd too, particularly on
HF. It would seem you want to have low dipoles with big PAs competing
with similar ERP 6/6 monoband stacks running low power.
If you do that in a DX contest, the 6/6 stack guy, assuming similar
operator skill, will still wipe the floor with the dipole guy simply
down to the difference in antenna take-off angles! The 6/6 stack guy
will be heard by and will be able to hear DX that the other guy can't.
Next you'll be telling us the rules will need to specify ERP at
particular take-off angles too.... absurd indeed!
Anyone who puts the time and money into building a competitive station
should be congratulated for it instead of having to listen to the
whiners that say "it's not fair, I can't compete with him because he's
got a better antenna system". Well, guess what, life isn't fair. There
are winners and losers in everything and more times than not, the
winners are those who make the most sacrifices and put the most effort
into achieving a win. Instead of complaining about it, maybe people
should direct that time and energy into trying to improve their situation!
