[UK-CONTEST] 5NN NOT!

Having been away on holiday I missed the 5NN discussion and hopefully 
I'll be excused for bringing it up again.

On a number of occasions on HF I've not sent the pointless 5NN during a 
contest exchange and
have never been asked for a report when I've done this so why do we 
bother when the guy at the other end has
probably already entered the report?

As the 'T' report is virtually redundant in all but a very few cases 
perhaps 5N could just be shortened to . -.
for those who need a clue that there's a serial number coming.

What is becoming really annoying is that 5NN appears to be creeping into 
everyday QSO's on VHF at
least on 6m if the QSO's that I had on that band whilst I was away were 
anything to go by.
There again I find that most 6m QSO's tend to be like contest QSO's 
anyway "5NN locator & 73..."
