[UK-CONTEST] Is it time for contest sponsors to introduce an ident rule?

It's just symptomatic of the quantity over quality approach that some go
for.
Less real, quantifiable, information and more rubber stamp or guessed/found
off the internet information.
Where will this lead?
All the info over the internet and just one key down, on the radio, to
confirm an RF path exists?
No wonder so many complain about the bands being overrun with contests when,
if they listen to them, they don't hear anything that even approximates to a
QSO going on.
Constant 59s, little if any information passed, and to top it all, a
callsign every Preston Guild!
It makes little sense to many contesters let alone those who see contesting
as a disruption to their time on the radio.
Cheers

Appreciate CW is being discussed here, but for SSB, ops should ID after
*every* contact, no exceptions.
