Hmmm, not too sure that this is the "first/inaugural" RSGB 50MHz CW contest,
because I've got a winners certificate for the last one....in 1992! Think it
was cancelled after that due to lack of activity, but glad to see it being
re-introduced into the VHF contest calendar :-)

The RSGB Contest Committee invites you to participate in the inaugural 50MHz
CW contest.

This takes place on Sunday 24th June from 0900-1200 UTC (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
BST), and it should appeal both to 6m enthusiasts and also to HF CW
operators who have 6m facilities. Conditions recently have been good, with
Sporadic-E openings and some fine DX. You can get on the air with a simple
antenna such as a dipole, or perhaps press an HF antenna into service
through an ATU.

The rules are at:
www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/contest_rules.pl?year=2012&contest=cw50MHz

Other useful information -- band plan:
www.rsgb.org/committees/spectrumforum/docs/rsgb_band_plan_2012.htm

List of European beacons:
www.uksmg.org/content/beaconeurope.htm

There are now three RSGB VHF CW contests, for 4m, 6m and 2m, with an award
for the best overall performance. We hope you will take part on Sunday.

73,

Ed Taylor, GW3SQX
Chairman, RSGB Contest Committee
