[UK-CONTEST] UBN errors

Guys,
I use N1MM exclusively for HF logging and I never send a serial number until all the recieved info is logged in the correct window so can never send the wrong number, but I too have had several conteacts disallowed where serial numbers logged differ by one from what the other station has logged and sent in, so I think it is a general problem with sending from macros or even sometimes by hand with any of the contest loggers.
On VHF I use Minos, but have had similar problems where I think incorrect serials have been sent even with SSB.
I don't know how to check or correct the problem, unless we drop the serial number requirement and go for district codes for HF or just QRA squares on VHF.
