Peter,
It wasn't so much that the positions didn't alter, but the fact there was no
acknowledgement of the assuption being incorrect, and of being provided with
the correct info' by both parties. A simple " yes you were correct,
apologies, as it doesn't affect the positions I'll leave it as is " would
have sufficed.
I appreciate as an adjudicator you can't enter into prolonged discussions
with every UBN that's issued, but where both parties agree on the error and
point it out to you, that should at least deserve an acknowledgement of
mis-judgement, and be noted for future reference.
