[UK-CONTEST] Jones plugs

Good point Bob,

As I remember, I have used both varieties in the past. Were the connectors with the locating peg much larger and higher current rated I wonder? My TR7 had a 4 pin DC input connector with a locating peg I think.

The Yaesu type was smaller and always had some pins at right angles. I have used 4pin, 6pin, 8pin and 12pin versions. I have 3 x CDE rotators each with 12 pin Jones Plugs/sockets that I fitted at the control end.

Doesn't help where to find them though!

Hi Dale and Rob,

These latter day Cinch plugs appear to have a 'registration' pin in addition to the connector spades. With the spades all in line, there has to be a way of preventing the plug being inserted with a 180 degree error. I have never seen this before and the versions I have had, have had a couple of spades at 90 degrees to the others to perform this function.

73 Bob
