[UK-CONTEST] Important message from the UK Contest Reflector Administrator

Second that. Totally unecessary move to make. Andy G4PIQ asked why not just hit the delete key? That's all I do, and plenty of dross from both sides of the spectrum qualify for that here. Doesn't mean I want an entire section excluded.

We often hear rants about CW ops with no interest in SSB, and vice versa. Can we start separate groups for these as well?  I've never done any data mode contesting before so that can go too!

Many local groups have a slant towards HF or VHF, in terms of what contests they take part in. This heavily influences what future direction newbies take. At least a combined reflector might spark some interest in "the dark side". Now said newbie will become informed of the [HF] or [VHF] group by someone in his club, subcribe to that, and remain less informed about what else is out there.

Not at all happy with this development - signing up to Yahoo leaves one
open to spam, unwanted advertising and all the other dross inherent in
the so-called social networks.  UK-contest provided a welcome respite to
all of this.  I particularly object to even being unable to read
contributions unless I sign up to this disaster, which I have no
intention of doing, for reasons given.
