I know i'm going to rile a few feathers but i have to say something. I was asked to join UK-Contest at the convention but so far all I have seen is squabbling. This is the kind of petit pseudo-politics prevalent in GR5V-toting radio clubs that contesting should be a sanctuary from. Creating a third group strikes me as a deliberate attempt to fracture the community further and I hope few people join it. A clearly visible poll was held, if you didn't submit your opinion it is your own fault, a majority was reached and 2 groups have been created. It really isn't a big deal at all and i'm sure you will all get over it quickly.

Im passionate about contests but I am put off entering the national contests like the club championships by this sort of thing so what chance would a newly licensed foundation holder stand if they signed up? Sort it out chaps and get back to talking about radio.
