John
I do not see what your problem is! I run a number of Yahoo groups and all
are very easy to use and you can choose the level of email you want to
receive so you could join both HF and VHF groups and actually receive less
emails than you get now or more, your choice! If you go there now you will
see there are 156 members already registered to the HF Yahoo group so that
means there are at least 156 people with no problem (unless you have already
joined in which case thats 155 people!) There are so many other things one
can add to the contest reflector now to share with other fellow contesters
such as photos, logs, stories of your field days or IOTA DX peditons etc,
one can get contest reminders and the like via the calendar function, polls
can be done that can be made fully transparent there is even a "Links"
option for things like logging software etc., so come one don't be scared of
a little change I believe its for the better as I am sure many of us do.
Enjoy and remember this is only a hobby

Roger,
I know your integrity is beyond reproach but you did rather put yourself
in the firing line on this and I'm sorry I had to be the one to fire off
the email. Polls have to be seen to seen to be impartial before many
people will vote. I mistakenly voted in your first survey but thought
better of in the second one to have separate reflectors. I note that
you got 77 replies to the first but only 62 in the 2nd one. Perhaps the
moderators can tell us how many members there are on the reflector.
