I do agree with what is proposed but if one of the intentions is to
encourage greater participation then I think two sections – one for those
with beams and one for those without are needed.  I enter contests because
I enjoy them so much but for every nut like me there must be dozens who
realize they are on a hiding to nothing and think they are wasting their
time.
