Hi All
As a long supporter of the 21/28mhz contest and have fought tooth and nail to keep it in the contesting calendar, it's inevitable that the event would someday be discontinued.
It would also however be criminal just to wipe it off the RSGB calendar, Only for another organisation to install it's own contest in it's place, which would happen.
So it would be fair to say that the time has come to see it take on a different shape and keep in the RSGB portfolio.
Thanks to Chris and Clive a new Contest is in the making, all very exciting indeed.
I have my own thoughts ithough.

1...I personally would prefer 12hr duration 0800 - 20:00hrs.
2...Rules, 2.2 - SO single TX, no cluster
Multi op single tx with Cluster use. (Clubs in mind)
If SO single tx uses cluster it would place them in multi-op category.
3...6m/10/15/20m bands
most contesters do have 6m capability, award higher points to encourage activity and maybe on a points per mile basis!
4... Mixed Mode to include RTTY.
Just my thoughts
and yes I'm all for a New style Contest.
