That may apply to an unquantifiable number of people but this is the premier event in the UK calendar for many people and some just cannot attend. 
Web-streaming works fine for events like Dayton, Amsat Colloquium, Martlesham Microwave Round Table, BATV Convention, RSGB AGM, RSGB Open Forum etc.
Many of these streams also include the facility for those unable to attend to provide feedback or ask questions.
