The first AFS contest of the 2012/2103 super league season takes place
on 6m this Sunday.
In order to qualify for the team event your club must be based in the
UK, be affiliated to the RSGB and all the stations contributing to
your club score must operate within a 50 mile radius of the club
meeting place. To check this we need to know the post code or 6
character locator of the AFS meeting place. You only need to give the
committee this information once and we will store it for use in all
AFS contests. If your club has entered AFS contests before we may
already have your meeting place on file.
You can check if your club is in our list of affiliated societies and
if we have your meeting place details on this web page
http://www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/afs.pl
If your club is based in the UK, is affiliated to the RSGB and is
likely to enter RSGB AFS contests but is not in this list or we do not
have your meeting place details then please email
afs.query at rsgbcc.org. You can use the same email address if you wish
to check the meeting place details we have for your club are correct.
We need this information BEFORE the contest entry deadline.
One further point, if you have more than 4 team members, please do not
enter them in different teams, Eg "Team A", Team B" etc. We will
automatically allocate your best adjudicated scores to the appropriate
A and B teams.
Individual entries that are not part of a club entry are of course
still very much welcome in all AFS contests.
Pete, G4CLA.
RSGB CC.
