I suspect that those of use with a VHF bent are just more passionate about
it all.

Ken,
A rather sweeping statement, given the recent "debate" over post contest log
checking on here. Neither group is perfect, but comments like that only
serve to widen any HF/VHF divide.
Maybe I'm wrong, and that wasn't your intention?
