Thanks for all the recent comments and to those who replied directly to
Roger SXW
The history of the UK contest reflector has correctly been referenced back
to the black sheep CG. I inherited the management of this list a few years
back from G4VXE, however the ownership of the reflector is with the UK
contest fraternity and is not owned by the RSGB for example (though I do
sit on the RSGB CC)
Over the last few weeks I've been in off list discussions about creating HF
and VHF groups and retiring the current UK Contest reflector, this could
involve moving to a modern, supported mail group system such as those used
by other special interest groups.
Knowing the passion for debate on this reflector I"m grateful for the
feedback, however I only manage the reflector on your behalf, and there are
some 400 subscribers out there all with varying opinions!
So please air your views (and email me direct if you prefer). If change
does happen its likely before the end of the year, I'll keep you up to date
with any planned changes
