[UK-CONTEST] SSB Field Day - G3WOR/P

The Worthing club entered the Restricted section of Field Day again this
year. The Club is not a contest group, but in order to accommodate
everyone’s needs, we had two stations running: G3WOR/P and G4LKW/P. The
latter was established as a more casual / training station, and G3WOR was to
be the more competitive station. Both were located in the same field  on a
farm in West Sussex within 200m or each other – so there was a little bit of
mutual QRM but it was not a major problem. 
HF conditions seemed “reasonable” and it was good hearing activity on 10m on
Friday evening beforehand. We are located a bit too close to Europe to allow
many Qs with the almost infinite number of DL portables. Consequently, our
HF score is down on 20m compared to last year. However, we certainly managed
to make QSOs with AA competitors and that of course increased our mult
total.
The station at G3WOR was an Icom IC756ProMk3 and a doublet at 45ft. Our
training station used an IC718 and a Butternut multiband ground-mounted
vertical.
