[UK-CONTEST] RSGB Convention : Contest Forum...

Hi,

For all the topics that need to be discussed at the moment, 45 minutes is
nowhere near long enough. Arguably you could use the whole convention to do
it justice, but that's not going to happen. The time would be better spent
on other lectures in the various streams.

Instead why not ask for written questions to be posted in a "contest box" at
convention and at a later date discuss them on here perhaps, or set up a
link from the contest web site to a "Litmus test" type forum. The 45 minutes
will probably be dominated by one particular subject, whoever gets in first,
and others won't get heard at all, leading to more frustration.

If the session does run, please can we have a more detailed account of the
event or possibly a recording online, to listen to later. Otherwise those
who cannot attend on the day will have now idea of the topic(s) discussed. I
did attend Convention last year, but couldn't make the Sunday when the
session took place. Last years comment in RadCom was something along the
lines of " a heated session ensued", fine but about what and no detail.

If you are really serious about gauging opinion on contesting, one 45 minute
session on one day of convention is nowhere near enough time.
