I suppose a GPS will be a requirement for a Rover if using the 6 digit grids.
At this time, I can get by with a Forest Service map but....

Getting more people on the air is the real key...

For this Contest, please promote 146.580 FM simplex for all those Hams,
especially New ones, on the repeaters who don't have All-mode rigs...
Yes there is life beyond the repeaters... Try Simplex...

I let all those that I talk to on the repeater know that I listen on the
quarter Hour on the FM simplex (if able to...)
52.525 FM, 146.580 FM, 223.5 FM, 446.000 FM
 On the Quarter hour :00, :15, :30, :45

As well as on or above the usual USB calling freqs per the band plan.
50.125 USB, 144.200 USB, 432.100 USB

the heavy-duty calculating work will only need to be
done during the ARRL log checking process. So those
without computers will be only be missing out on the
luxury of knowing their final score quickly.
