[VHFcontesting] Thinking of Returning to VHF/UHF - Self Recycling

Hi all,

     It's been more than 10 years since I've been on the "Ultrahighs" and
I'm thinking of getting active again from FM19la, and/or by dabbling in some
portable operation.  Seeing a lot of discussion on increasing VHF contest
activity, I thought perhaps I should "do my bit".  To that end, I have a
couple of questions, which are as follows:

     Can anyone suggest someone who would do a competent job of
refurbishing  my stack of VHF/UHF antennas?  I need to replace feedlines
(including runs into the house), and get the rotor fixed, as a minimum.
Would probably settle for keeping the ante-diluvean beams themselves.

     While I've seen several reviews of the Ten Tec 526 VHF transceiver,
few of them seem to have been written by seasoned VHFers.  Does anyone
on this list have experience with this rig (I'm particularly concerned with
the
receive sensitivity)?

          I've seen some information on the Degen Designs two meter beam,
and it seemed to do pretty well in at least one antenna measuring event.
Has anyone tried one of these?  While I'm not against Yagis, per se,
my first big 2 meter antenna was a UHF Resonator, 32 element collinear
(that oughta date me), and it might be fun to try something different.
