[VHFcontesting] Stations working Jan VHF SS this weekend!

Unfortunately the news about the correct dates for the upcoming January VHF 
Sweepstakes did not reach everyone. At 1900 utc today I heard several locals 
calling "CQ Contest" on 6 Meters. Here is a link to the ARRL official rules 
for the Jan. VHF SS and the correct dates, ie. Jan. 24 - 26, 2004.

One local said "just as well not this weekend" when I told him about it - 
said all 6 Meter and 2 Meter beacons are way down today and "contest 
activity" was low! With the heavy cold rain (turning to snow this eve.) it 
would have been a tough day for the portable and rover ops out here in the 
Midwest Division.
