Thanks to Curt, K9AKS, sharing his compilation of September
VHF Contest results from 1983-1998 with me and some digging
of my own to fill in some information for 1999-2001, I can
now provide an update for September Grids Worked records.

June is definitely the time of year for 50 MHz...nothing in
September has come close to the 270 for Single-op and the
279 for Multi-op. For the higher bands, however, September
seems to be the time to maximize Grids worked.

This is ONLY for September and will look best if printed
with a monospaced Font (such as Courier).

Band Top SO Grids Year Top Multi Grids Year

50 W3XO/5 149 1994 KB5IUA 150 1994

144 K5WPN 115 2004 WS4F 114 1986
                                    AA9D 114 1992

222 VE3AX 53 2001 K8GP 70 1998
        K3EAR(K9PW) 53 2004

432 K5UR 66 1992 K8GP 85 1998

902 WA8WZG 28 1999 K8GP 41 2001

1296 W2CNS 32 1992 K8GP 51 2001
        WA8WZG 32 1997
        WA8WZG 32 1998

Thanks again to Curt for the 'heavy lifting' (his
compilation of the history since the transition from
Sections to Grid Squares as multipliers) and to the ARRL
for the Scores Databases and PDFs of QST results.

Any comments, corrections, etc. are welcome.

73, JK
