[VHFcontesting] The Informal FD VHF+ Challenge - An Idea

Well, just my 2 cents...It seems ever since the ARRL dis-allowed a "free"  
VHF station for the popular 1A class a few years ago, VHF activity has dropped  
in a big way.
 
Why did they do this?? It seems to me that if anything, allowing the free  
VHF station for 1 A classes is a great thing, something for less  experienced 
ops to cut their teeth on, plus, something for the ops that waiting  for the 
turn in the chair to do.
 
I guess the best thing to do is contact the ARRL & ask them to allow  the 
free VHF station for the 1A stations, it might really help stir  activity!
