I've used an 857D as a transverter and I use the jack on the back of the rig
that has PTT and ALC on it. I got one of those stereo-mini to dual RCA
(red/white) type cables and plug into the back of the TIB. That's the only
cable I need and it's very clean. The only other issue is that the PTT
output on the 857 is bi-directional and I had to pull out a diode in the
radio to make it an output instead of an input on that port. Otherwise you
have to build up a different cable with a DIN connector.

Subject: [VHFcontesting] need advice/ft-847 and demi transverters
Hello
Has anyone used a yaesu ft-847 with a demi transverter? I need
advice on how to key the transverter. I am using a TIB interface between
the transverter and the if rig(ft-847).
Thanks and 73 and Good Dx
