RFSport.com has released the latest version of Sport Logger, a Windows-based logging system designed for sprint-style operation. Participants in Mondays North American 2 meter Sprint are cordially invited to use this PUBLIC ALPHA logging and scoreboarding system to enhance their fun. (This is an alpha-version because of the amount of new code introduced please treat your use of the system accordingly).
Participants will be eligible to receive RFSport.com certificates based on their performance, relative to others using the system. Silver-level certificates will be available to 70th Percentile participants (scoring higher than 70 percent of the others). Gold-level certificates will be made available to 90th Percentile participants (scoring higher than 90 percent of the others).
Updates for this release include a graphical, color-coded gridmap. When participants work a new grid, it is shaded on that map. As more and more stations within a grid are worked, the shading changes. Participants can quickly ascertain which regions are the most productive to their contest effort.
Previous users of this system will notice that, with this release, the RFSport team is preparing for two more scoring methods: DX-point (1 point per km like IARU Region 1 VHF contests) and DX-zone based (like the Stu Perry Top Band DX Challenge). These are enhancements that will come in to play for future events.
Download the free Sport Logger from: http://www.RFSport.com. Note: it has a Practice mode to allow new users to become familiar with it prior to the start of the event. Also: this is a REAL TIME logging system. When the event is over, so is ones ability to edit their log!
RFSport.com is not affiliated with the sponsors of the North American 2-meter sprint. The RFSport.com initiative is designed to support and enhance, not replace, the sponsors interests.
