[VHFcontesting] June Contest Section Records Updated

VHF Contesters: 

The lists of section records for the June ARRL VHF QSO Party have been updated.   They are available on the main contest page of the ARRL Web site.  Thanks to Tom Hogardy, KC1J, for facilitating their placement there. 

2006 was an excellent year, especially on six meters in most parts of North America.   A total of 58 new section records were broken as follows:   A-27; B-13;  L-7;  M-4; and Q-7.    This compares to 18 total in 2005, 26 in 2004, 66 in 2003, and 27 in 2002.   

Please note that these tables continue to reveal a number of places and entry categories where the records are quite low or even non-existent.   So, it won't take much to break a section record next year if you have the option of picking the right place and right category.  

As always, I appreciate hearing of any errors, and am happy to receive general comments.
