Joe,
I have the same problem with a TS-2000X and so have others. So far Kenwood
has not admitted the problem as far as I know. The VHF/UHF bands all have
solid state keying with a current capacity of 20ma through the "External
Connector". The HF keying is a "control relay" through the "Remote"
connector.
I my case I use 28 MHz HF for a 222 transverter. When I key the 2000 on 50
MHz it also keys the 222 transverter through the HF "control relay"! When I
asked Kenwood about this they responded, "You must have something hooked up
wrong, we have not had any complaints about this before". If you figure this
out Joe, please let us all know...
Thanks,
Bob, W2SJ

I am trying to use a kenwood ts2000 with a commander vhf2000 for 6 and a
hf2500hp for hf. For some reason when I key the radio on 6 it keys the
hf amp. Of course there are separate keying lines. Anyone have any ideas
why? Thank you, Joe Barnes

Possible issues:
The pin assignments on the accessory plug are separate for each amp (and
then controlled by menu options). If the amp keying lines are wired to their
respective pins correctly, it may be a short between the HF line and the 6m
line.
