"I have been following this discussion for some time now, and have thefollowing questions:Where exactly in the rules does it prohibit grid circling? Where is part 97does it prohib this practice? What exactly does make it unethical?73s John AA5JGSometimes a rover"

Look at it like this. Most rovers opperate indipendent of each other, but when they team up in a group they increase thier score expontially.

Compare it to this. You are a wieght lifter and toy can dead lift 800 pounds by your self.
You then find yourself competing against a team of 4 wieght lifters that can lift 2500 lbs as a team of 4.
You then get upset and say that is a different event, but the judges still gives each man credit for 2500 lbs per individual.
Later the judge fixes the rules and trys to put the team in a differnt catagory. But they still work a limited amount of contacts with just a few people to inflate thier score as a team and post victories in 3 different rover classes.

So if there is true sportmanship in this event there needs to be a line drawn between teams and non teams for rovers just as there is for stationary stations. They broke no rules, the rules are broken.

I suppose if you are upset enough write the contesting committee dirrectly.
