[VHFcontesting] Grid Circling Scenarios

Some have problems understanding how Rovers can maximize their scores by grid circling.  Let me introduce possibilities, as available in VE3.

West grid corners are FN02, FN03, EN92, EN93

East grid corners are FN03, FN04, FN13, FN14.

Lets start in the west.  Rover A and Rover B meet at a specified grid, "run the bands" with vehicles in close proximity for 10 qso's.  They each then move to the next grid, till all 4 are done and a total of 40 qso's worked.  Rover C if available can do likewise, yielding another 40 qso's for each or 80 in total.

West option #2.  Rover A stays in grid #1, Rover B works him there, then rotates throughout the other 3 grids.  Rver A advances to the next grid and repeats it, then on to grid 3 and grid 4.  Now we have 160 qso's in the log.  If Rover C emerges, double that to 320.

Now we move to the east grids.  Note that FN03 is in both corners.  Run the bands as per first scenario above to get another 30 qso's, for 70 total.  

Do the rotation alternately again, to get 120 qso's.  Bring in Rover C and boost this to another 120 qso's.

Now we have the following:

Running parallel yields 70 qso's.

Running in rotation yields 280 qso's with Rovers A + B, or 560 qso's engaging Rover C.  In reality, more grids can be covered off if pushing the limit.  Also more bands.  All this without engaging any other contesters.  Laser not included here, nor one other band as 12 bands are possible per Rover.  Laser only easy when running parallel due to obstructions in the path from most grids.

Add up the qso points possible next.  24 qso points per grid in parallel mode excluding Laser and one GHZ band is 168 qso points plus mults not calculated.

Rotationally, 672 qso points with Rovers A = B, and 1,344 points with Rovers A + B + C.  Whole lot more multi's.

You don't need good stations or good operators to amass a pile of qso points, just a whole lot of bands, and this before you even attempt to reach the rest of the world.

These scenarios can be played out anywhere grid corners are reasonably accessible.  Not trying to encourage, merely to educate.  Miscalculations are possible.
