In 4 days and 21 hours, the ARRL UHF contest kicks off.
As most here know, it runs from 1800Z this Saturday until
1800Z Sunday. All bands from 222 and higher are in play.
Here's a link to the rules:

We *could* use this reflector to post our contesting plans --
when I first started following along here in 2002-03, I
enjoyed seeing everyone's plans.
KC9BQA in EN63ao (40 miles north of Milwaukee)
will be on 222, 432, 902/3, 1296 and 2304. Good antennas
and height on all bands. I plan on playing hard for this one.
I monitor our regional V/UHF reflectors and there should
be good activity in the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes. There
are a number of rovers heading out, as well as good multi-op
efforts out of EN52 and EN44.
Those reflectors are: Badger Contesters, Northern Lights
Radio Society (NLRS out of Minnesota -- home of Rovermania),
Chippewa Valley VHF (EN44) and Society of Midwest
Contesters (SMC out of ILL/MO/IND, who submitted over
70 logs in the June V/UHF contest, tops in the nation).
In fact, I'm going to include links to Rovermania in a
separate post. There's some fun reading (for a change). It's
quite possible that many here have not learned about how
NLRS decided to do something constructive when they
learned that ARRL was about to do away with the UHF
contest.
So who wants to post their contest plans? Again,
the UHF contest is this weekend.
73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
Active on 50 thru 2304.
