After reviewing the rover plans for a couple of other rovers who are running a LOT more power than I am, I have changed my plans. I'm going to run essentially the same route as I did in January, with a couple of modifications.

I'm starting in FM08 at Hogback Overlook on Skyline Drive. I'll spend as much time there as I can and still making fresh contacts. When I do come off the mountain, I'll be heading toward Charlottesville where I'll catch a corner of FM07 and then head East toward the Williamsburg VA area for a hotel for the night.

Sunday, I'll get to Virginia Beach by late morning and make a few contacts in FM26 before moving to the CBBT complex by about noon. I'll spend a little time on Island 1 in FM16 and more time on the North end in FM27. I'll stay until I stop getting contacts or 4:00 PM, whichever comes first.

>From there, I'll head North up the Eastern Shore, stopping at a rest stop just into FM28 and then again at another rest stop on route 301 in FM29. This last one was a good one for me in January. I'll stay until 9:00 PM then head home and finish the last hour in my driveway at FM18.

Because I'm in the Limited Rover group, I'll have 4 bands within the power limits. I have 100 watts on 50 with a moxon, 180 watts on 144 with a Directive systems rover special yagi, 10 watts on 222 with the DS yagi and 100 watts on 432 again with a DS yagi. I will also have stacked loops for use in motion for 144 and 432. For the multi-op stations, I will be running APRS so I'll be easy to find.

Saturday:

FM08us Hogback Overlook
FM07vx truck stop in Louisa county
FM17 en route to a hotel around Williamsburg VA

Sunday

FM16ww CBBT Island 1
FM27ac North end of CBBT
FM28fa MD Eastern Shore
FM29ac MD Route 301
FM18iq home

Look for me, especially down in VA Beach. In January, a couple guys in CA scored very well in the new Limited Rover class and I'd love to give them a run for their money.
