On your trip to HD pick up 1 10ft 1/2 in. copper pipe ($10 or so).
Use it to make a dipole. Cut it to 54in per side. You could also use the
#14 wire or Romex for a wire dipole.
This has worked for me in the past.. Good luck Mike Fisher N3VOP

If you want a simple antenna for 6M, a dipole will work fine.
You can make a 2 element wire Yagi without too much more work. Or a wire
Moxon. Google for dimensions.
If you have time for a trip to Home Depot and want something more
substantial, try the N2MH Moxon. Again Google will give you the
dimensions. Good luck and see you in the contest. - Duffey

For a quick 6M gain antenna I'd try a 2 ele Quad. The 100ohm feedpoint
is easy to match with a 1/4 wave piece of RG6 or RG11. I made the spider
supports from dowel rods and wood hubs once, but PVC is quick as well.
Don't overlook stacked omni loops as high as practical, they can
outperform a lower height gain antenna--especially if the attainable
height is near or above tree top level vs a gain antenna 10 or more feet
lower. Mike WA3TTS
