Most sheet metal shops with a good shear will be happy to cut the strips for you.  They may use large pieces of scrap of the designated thickness, and shear strips of 3 to 5 feet in length.  Once the depth gauge is set on the shear, the strips take no time to cut.  It is easier to mark out, center punch and drill a long strip than individual element strips.  Elements tend to have very sharp edges, a hazard in cutting the strips at home.  Be sure to get more cut than you need, for repairs.  The strips coil neatly for storage too.  Have fun.
