The Midwest VHF/UHF Society Frequency Measuring Test will begin at
10:00AM Eastern time on Monday, December 28 and run through 10:00AM on
Wednesday, Dec. 30.

We will be transmitting about 50 watts on 2 meters from W8RKO's QTH a
few miles south of Dayton, Ohio (grid square EM79wq). The antenna will
be a discone (omnidirectional and vertically polarized) at about 60
feet. The signal will be CW with an ID every ten minutes, using the
MVUS club call, W8KSE.

If you want to use this signal to calibrate your rig, the frequency
(within 50 Hertz of actual) will be:

144.2743 MHz.

The precise frequency (to better than 0.001 Hz) will be posted after the
January 15 deadline for submissions.

See http://www.febo.com/pages/mvus-fmt/Dec2009/2_meter_test.html for
more details about this 2 meter transmission.

73,
John
