Chet,

That was JUST about perfect .... if you had simply added "You do not know the POWER of the Dark Side ..." you would have had me ....  <grin>

But seriously, if everyone on, active and reading this reflector would simply PARTICIPATE in June, we could ALL contribute to a ARRL / QST record breaking swell of contesting the likes of which perhaps none of us have ever seen before ....

Marshall and others,

You will not overcome the East Coast advantage.
Soon, all of our plans will come to fruition.

Consider these facts:

Under our direction, the FAA has now completed rerouting all air traffic in
and around NYC so that microwave scatter from the planes is now available on
a continuous basis.

We have finally mounted enough resistance to Al Gore so that global warming
will rise to the point where we will no longer have sever icing and damage
to our antennas.

The Air Force has developed a means to direct the weather fronts and we will
experience 24 hour tropo along the humid East coast. We have received their
assurance that this will be limited to the east coast only.

We have successfully lobbied enough equipment grants into the stimulus
package to arm ourselves with K3's and Elecraft and DEMI transverters and
heliax, with SDR's as backups justified by "for emergency" use
and job
creation, you understand.

An SSB version of skimmer will soon be released by MIT to the east coast
contesters only.

Soon all we will need to do is turn on the computer and watch our scores
click upward.
Resistance is futile.
You need to stop and give up now.

Chet, N8RA

Ps- sorry I cannot reply further, until all the above happens I need to get
back to work repairing my rotor and hoping for a break in the winter weather
here so that I can put it back in place before the next contest.

Hi Mike, Greg and everyone else on the reflector......

.....

I will leave you with this thought.....in an effort to help us keep nipping
at the heels of the "east coast monopoly" stations, try to make sure
that
you work us in June and Sept.
