[VHFcontesting] Tips for first timer in UHF only event?

I just put up a new yagi for 432, and currently only have a FM rig for 222.

My question is this: every 432 contact I have ever made was a move up from 2 meters, or set up by chatroom, email or phone.   I do not see making many 222 fm contacts with 25 watts and 5 element yagi setup vertical that I will be moving up to 432.

Am I wrong about the 223,5 FM contacts?  Will there be lots of ops coming out of the woodwork to use this seeming dead band for the contest?  So far in 6 weeks, I have only had one station to contact on simplex 1.25,  75 miles north to a station I often chat with on 146.520 FM, But he only works FM vhf/UHF.

Does 2 meters still get used as a contact point to rally move ups?   I heard lots of traffic there during to June VHF/UHF event for contacts being made up to 1.2g and some higher attempts.

Are there rules against setting up skeds during the event in chat rooms?  If not where do I look to find where the SE 432 contacts would be during the event?

Is it considered  bad VHF/UHF form to hang out where Big Guns are and call people after they work them?  or follow them when they change bands? I have never heard a pile up on 432, so far, but I keep up the hope!.

Most ops seem very willing to help others make contacts on 2 meters and up, which makes the world above 50MHz more fun than the contesting on lower bands .

I tell my ham buddies it more like "contacting" on 144 and up, not the "59, thanks, 73" contesting you hear on HF
