Assisted needs to seperate rovers as well.  

 

In rover  assisted is seeing  the thumbs up from your buddy  when you zero beat another lunch box rover across a gridline in a farmer's field on 24 ghz at 100 yards.  

 

Assisted could be using a low band frequency to cordinate a high band contact.

 

Assisted could be ARPS on rovers or portables.

 

Assisted could be a phone call from your buddy telling you to get back on the radio, the band is open.

 

Assisted is the internet spotting pages.

 

Assisted is the WSJT page if you do not follow the rules.

 

in fact these sites should go down for the bands involved in any ongoing contest.
