Top-end DCI 8-pole 6m passband filter, 2 MHz wide, centered on 50.000 MHz. S/N 12842. One-off, manufactured to my specs.

Insertion loss at center of passband 0.99 dB. Skirts –90 dB (down-freq side [47 MHz]) and –70 dB (up-freq side [53 MHz]), i.e., 2 MHz from passband edges (49 MHz / 51 MHz). Includes factory lab instrument characterization graphs. Will take 400W (twice their quoted power limit) continuous duty if the SWR is low. Maybe more than that, haven’t tried it above 400W. Their concern is peak RF voltage at that point in the transmission line, not antenna current / power per se.

Built like a tank out of machined aluminum blocks. SO-239s. Bullet-proof. Made in Canada. Retail cost was over $500 in June 2004 when I bought it, undoubtedly is significantly higher now (they no longer provide pricing on their website).

Asking $200 picked up here if you’re “local” (subjective of course), $230 shipped UPS ground.

Can email pictures if you’re interested.

This filter could really be invaluable in these two cases: (a) multi-transmitter contest station that includes 6m; (b) any 6m setup where strong VHF-low TV transmitters or VHF-low commercial outlets are still on the air. Go ahead and call DCI and find out the current price for an 8-pole 6m passband filter. You’ll find that my price is extremely compelling.
