[VHFcontesting] January 24-26 2015 ARRL VHF Contest dates

The January contest was always on the weekend between the NFC/AFC championships and the Superbowl ! 


When the NFL added a week to the season, Someone in the league got a huge head and said "they were never designed to land on that weekend", and left the contest to compete with the NFL... Stupid! Participation has suffered greatly because of it! Ask anyone... when the games come on... PARTICIPATION ON EVERY BAND DIES. 


Like the ARRL is larger than the NFL! Get over yourselves. Man UP! Grow a pair and help out the VHF Contester and put the contest on the "Non NFL weekend in January" !!! There is a very active and viable contest community above 30 MHZ!! You know... NON HF! (Shakes my head, hits the send key and closes the program.)

The 2015 edition of the ARRL's January VHF Contest will fall on the fourth
weekend of January (24-26 January 2015), not the customary third weekend.
The fourth weekend was chosen to avoid conflict with NFL playoffs and the
Super Bowl. In 2016, things will probably return to normal. (Thanks, ARRL
