Dave,
You would have to do a lot of work to add the parts to make your B3016 into 
a B1016 which needs ~10 Watts of drive for full 160 Watt output.
With 3 Watts drive into a B1016 you might get about 75-100 Watts output. I 
have done work on my B1016 and what you would have to do is not a trivial 
job. You best option is to sell the B3016 (or keep it as a backup spare) and 
buy another amplifier suited to your needs of 1-3 Watts drive.

can do so I can drive it with my FT290 with its 3 watts out put?Just trying
