Hello to all 222 ops....I would sure like to work a new state or two on
222 in or out of the Sprint. Here are the states that I need that are
in meteor scatter range:
DE -- about 1200 miles, so tough but possible
KY -- this is a really close one, should be easy to work, if I can find
a station there to run with
MT -- about 1150 miles to the southeast corner of the state, so possible
if we can find someone in the eastern grids of MT
NV -- about 1270 miles, so this would be a tough one...probably will
need a good station and the Perseids
SD -- only about 875 miles, so this one should be relatively easy too
UT -- only about 1075 to eastern grids
VA -- another relatively close one, we should be able to get this one,
but we need to find someone to run with
WI -- another relatively close one, we should be able to get this one,
but we need to find someone to run with
WY -- only about 975 miles to the east edge, is there someone to run with??
I only need 17 more(ONLY!!?!!), so if I can get several of these, it
will really help. If anyone lives in one of those states with a good
222 meteor station, I would really like to run with you. I and everyone
else now runs MSK144 for digital meteor scatter. With that really FB
package, long distance MS contacts are quite possible.
If you are interested, just send me a return email with your Call, Grid,
and station parameters(power and antennas). Let's set up some scheds
and see what we can do. During the Sprint, I will be on the PingJockey
page. My station for MS is 2 x 23el at 135ft and 1500W from my new
Communication Amplifier amp.
IF I can build a fire under Bill-N5YA, my tower guy, maybe we can get
the 222 EME array going again before Tue night. The AZ is not
registering for some reason. EL works fine, but we need AZ also...HI.
The EME antenna is 160H and 160V with the same 1500W as above.
Call me or write me and we can see what works for the both of us. I will
be leaving Thursday for the SEVHFS convention and will not return until
late Sunday.
GL to everyone in the Sprint....
