Yes Dana, that would be a dupe. Last year I worked a station from FN02wv on 6 bands. I picked a spot I knew we would be able to work 5 & 10G. Then I moved farther away to FN02vu and we made contacts again on 222-1296. I kept all of the contacts in my log. In the log checking report, the ARRL system automatically kept the longest distance contacts and called the shorter ones duplicate.

Subject: [VHFcontesting] 222 and UP > Rover Question
Hi
Can someone give me an interpretation of the rule for Rovers…
3.2. Rover Stations: A Rover is a station that moves beyond the limits of a fixed location during the course of a contest. Aeronautical mobile stations are not allowed. Rover stations may be worked from each four-character grid square in which they operate. If more than one contact on a given band is made between stations in specific grid squares, then the contact with the longest path distance will be counted.
This suggests that a ROVER can only be worked from one GRID regardless of how many sub grids they operate from in the at GRID…
ie if I work VE3XYZ/R in FN03AA on 33 cm and then he moves to FN03BB and I work him again on 33 cm, that contact is a DUPE? Right?
Thx
Dana VE3DS
