We (NC5AX/R) tried FT8 for the first time as an option for in-motion operating when the bands are down during the contest...like this past weekend in Arkansas. It was a good fit and I can see it being used again. But if the bands are open, SSB while mobile is a lot faster and easier. FT8 is just a tool in a toolbox. 73 Darin KK5WA
