Am now monitoring 144.174 FT8 and have configured WSJT-x to feed spots to the PSK reporter. Am beaming approx 134 degrees and will leave this running until at least Monday.

Even if there was no one around for a Qso, my CQ's often seemed to be picked up by a monitoring station and then posted via psk reporter. This gives me some comfort that those sites actually had propagation paths to useful locations.

N8UR described a scheme using RTL-SDR dongles and Alex, VE3NEA's CW Skimmer software to monitor the beacon segment of each bands, decode the received signals and post them to the RBN. Tony, K8ZR, can probably provide a copy of the presentation or provide a link. There are a couple of Beacon transmitters that offer CW and JT mode output. Haven't seen any beacon scheme using FT8 but probably wouldn't be difficult to implement.
