That sounds similar to the M squared antennas I have here. 

M squared  6M2 WLC.

Home brew? I don't know of any solid elements on 6M. They get heavy unless supported.
It could use commercial mounting hardware.
Are they insulated from the boom and held with push on retaining rings? That's the K1FO style yagi.
