[VHFcontesting] 222 Activity Night

Hello 222 fanatics,

It broke my heart, but I have lowered the rotatable 222 antenna down
very close to the top of the tower. This makes operating it a problem as
there is no clearance for the flexible coax that runs around the
rotator, so I am not able to turn the yagis without possible coax damage
up there.   I also noted that my water bottle in the shack was frozen
solid like cement. We had a 10 degree evening temperature yesterday and
the shack is a tad cool as a result.  I am done for the winter months
but that does not mean that activity night is over. So many people have
been having such a great time that I am sure the activity will continue.

So get on and make noise if you have any 222 gear.   My plan is to
remove the gear from the shack and store it until warmer weather
returns. Cold and condensation is really bad for sensitive electronic
gear. I remove the K3 and my transverter along with keyer paddless, Bird
43,  rotor boxes etc. There is actually much that has to be removed. I
am hoping I can get my truck up there one more time!
