I have a series resistor in the HV line (after the capacitors). It is a
big 100 watt power resistor. I was thinking of ditching the HV fuse
entirely and putting a small low voltage fuse in the cathode as some
people have done. I am not sure that is a great idea though. You can
still get high voltages there with an arc.
I will look at the amp this morning after I have my 2 cups of
coffee. (I might want to change that to several gin & tonics after
looking at things!! I think I need to change out the supply filtering.
I have way too much C!
