Hello VHFers,

This is a friendly reminder that tonight is 222 Activity Night. Every
Tuesday, rain or shine, is 222 Night. It is a way for VHFers to make
contacts on one of our beloved VHF bands. It is also a way for you to
evaluate your setup using real time contacts to gauge how well your last
modification is working.  I should add that tonight is also the Fall 222
VHF Sprint, so there is another reason to attract you to the 222 MHz
band this evening.....COMPETITION!   Don't expect too many ragchews this
evening.  Otherwise, it will be just another Tuesday on 222! Lately, we
have been seeing a reasonable amount of activity in the northeast USA.

I am getting reports from around the country concerning 222 MHz activity
in some other areas of the country as well. Activity is on the upswing,
and the effort of many participants is making a difference nationally.

So don't forget to amble over to your shack this evening and make a few
(or many) 222 MHz contacts. The Sprint runs from 2300UT up to 0300 UT.
When things quiet down locally, you can try to set up a sked on meteor
scatter or maybe a sked on FT8 or another weak signal digital mode with
some area that you would not normally work. The worst thing that will
happen is that you won't make the contact.

I plan to be on 222 starting around 2300 UT. I hope to make some QSOs.
Don't forget!
