i Ron,
I just needed to copy your report for mine, as we worked mostly the same
stations with the exception that I worked WW1M and my neighbor across
the lake in NH, WA1T, then N1LHP in Wilmington, MA.. WW1M was actually
the first station worked with my new Q5 transverter. As a result, Bruce
won a free beer from Dave at the Fall VHF Conference, as long as he
proves that he is not a working stiff, in which case, he would have owed
me a beer for the chance to be the first contact on the new transverter.
SIgnals on some paths this evening were above average. Other paths were
flat. I did note that the KO1I/b on 222.064 was very loud off the back
of my beam. It was as loud as when I point directly at it, so things
were up to the NE from me. WA3EOQ was pretty weak over the 500 mile
path to the SW, but it is always a good day when a contact can be made.
No complaints to the SW. WA2LTM and WA3NUF were both very good copy on
SSB. Fading was not much of a problem this time. It was a nice enjoyable
evening.
